How to be happy during Christmas season

It's funny how time flies, everytime  Christmas comes you start to release how quick the year has gone, then you start to feel guilty about goals you set last year and have not achieved due to your own laziness or something thats out of your control. Like the amount of times I have decided to start eating healthy and start  to go to the gym, which only lasts for a month and I'm back to having pudding hahaha.

I love Christmas because every Christmas is different. This year Christmas didn't feel like something i was looking forward to, there just wasn't that joy that I used to feel when I was a kid. In my young days it seemed like Christmas was just the same, every year same people, same joy, lots

Of food and looking your best in a big party dresses.

In my teens it's was all about getting expensive present and what's new in trend. It felt like if I didn't get what I wanted it didn't feel like Christmas.

Now I look at life in a whole different way, it's not about how things have changed in the last 2 years but in the last 10 years.

Well the last 2 years have been abit dramatic in terms of things that you have not planned happening, I know we can't plan everything in life but there are just some things that are out of your power to change and you just have to learn to live through the process.

Like for example I used to think that I, my sister and mum will forever live near each other but when I found out that I wasnt going to see them till after Christmas it just felt like this Christmas not going to be the same, I just didn't feel that hype about it.

I asked my self what is about this Christmas that just makes me not happy to look forward to?. Then I realised happiness is something that you create by thinking positively, even tho I didn't see my family this Christmas, I did talk to them, they are in good health and I was also spending Christmas with other lovely people.

Sometimes things might not turn out to be what you planned, but I think if you think positively in any situation you will find that you learn a lot from what is happening  and more likely on how to deal with things.

I didn't think I was going to have a great Christmas, but that was by my own thinking, as soon has I started thinking positively I found myself been more happy.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and remember things always seem and turn out better when you think positively.
